A big thanks to the Wilbanks family for donating pumpkins from their garden for this project! Marcy demonstrated to the kids how to decorate their pumpkins by putting the gourds and veggies on using toothpicks. Then we set the kids free and they amazed us with some real masterpieces.
It never ceases to amaze us how the kids can find critters. Here's a praying mantis on a basketball.
Divide and Multiply Garden
We've continue to receive some awesome plants for the Divide and Multiply garden such as daylilies, peonies, daisies, daffodil and iris bulbs, and Cleome seeds. Please donate your plants to create a Grymes Family garden. You can drop them off outside the front door.
Decorating The School Yard
We decided to put our pumpkins around the Grizzly.
One not so fun task of gardening is cleaning up. We made the best of it as we cleaned up our mess from last Spring and brought it to our compost pile.
Tina will bring in some house plants such as Spider Plants, Christmas Cactus', and African Violets. She will talk to the kids about how these plants propagate. Then the kids will pot them up.
