Rainy Day? A Barrel of Fun!
October 10, 2014 - After snack time, the gardeners were surprised to see a large, black plastic barrel and a special guest from a local high school in the Common of Gardner Hall. The guest had brought the rain barrel to attach to the downspout of the Little Red School House, so that the gardeners will have the ability to irrigate the raised beds as needed. This is very exciting for the Grizzly Gardeners, and we are so grateful to Kaci Daniel, 4-H Extension Agent, for coordinating the donation of the rain barrel!
What is That For?The gardeners were asked to make guesses about the purpose of the barrel. They shared some excellent ideas.

Tops and Bottoms CraftWorking on their Tops and Bottoms Craft took a lot of hard work, but the gardeners were very creative and diligent in coloring and cutting vegetables to complete their garden plate. Some added sunshine, garden friends, and extra vegetables.
