Grymes Teachers are Tea-riffic!
As a gift of appreciation, the garden club planted "tea pots" for every teacher. Our little gardeners transplanted the herbs, nurtured them over the past couple of weeks, and helped wrap them with love. The herbs are assorted and include a variety of lemon balm, mint, tansy, and anise. We hope the teachers enjoy them, especially when relaxing with a nice hot cup of tea!

Thank You Battlefield Farms!
Battlefield Farms was so generous that we continued this week to plant the flowers they donated. We planted them in three new containers for the front of the school and in the front flower beds. Please take a look the next time you're at the school.
We decided to try something different, instead of putting rocks at the bottom of our planters, we used empty plastic bottles. It allowed for lighter pots, less soil wasted, and a way to recycle plastic bottles. Click here to read about this technique! Critter CornerThe seventeen year cicadas have arrived!
