Decorating Terra Cotta Pots for Herbs
April 11, 2014 - The gardeners enjoyed the company of two very special guests this week: Mrs. Julie, Grizzly Gardener mom, and Mrs. Rachel, Grizzly Gardener grandmother and Master Gardener. Mrs. Rachel brought along some painted and prepared terra cotta pots for the gardeners to decorate using fabric or paper. The gardeners will use the pots later in a double potting project. Stay tuned! A big thank-you to Mrs. Rachel and Mrs. Julie for their generosity in creating a wonderful gardening craft experience!
Introductions and How-toMrs. Rachel explained to the group how to plan a design, showed techniques for cutting shapes and hiding guide lines, and demonstrated the proper method for using Mod Podge with paper or fabric.

Cut and PasteA number of patterned and plain papers or fabrics from which to create a design were available. Some gardeners used scissors to cut out star, heart, or other shapes. The decorated pots will definitely make someone's window sill or desk a little brighter!
