Pumpkin Chucking Contest

What do you do when your pumpkins are past their prime and starting to rot?  You have a pumpkin chucking contest, of course!  The kids had a great time chucking the rotten pumpkins into the compost pile.

Planting Pansies

We bought some pansies to spruce up the flower pots near the Little Red School House.  We planted some in the Divide and Multiply garden too!

Mulching

A special thanks goes to Meadows Farms for donating the mulch and compost for the Divide and Multiply garden.

It took two weeks and the kids did a great job loading, moving, and spreading mulch.  It was fun to watch, everyone had their own style!

Barefoot Gardeners

Taylor started a trend by taking her shoes off.  The kids said the mulch felt so good on their bare feet.

Next Week

We plan to harvest our autumn vegetable garden, write thank you cards, and do a little celebrating for a job well done!
