Cool season vegetables are growing quite nicely!
October 7, 2016 - The gardeners headed out to the raised beds to check on the radishes planted a few weeks ago. Mrs. Howell explained to the gardeners that when plants grow too closely together, they compete for water and sunlight, robbing all of the plants of the chance to thrive. She explained the necessity of thinning the plants, and showed the gardeners how to determine which plants should be removed. The gardeners had a chance to prepared an additional raised bed for cabbage plants before heading inside to dissect flowers.
The gardeners had the chance to prepare the other raised beds for planting before a cool drizzle set in.
